Treatment Services
My primary approach to treatment is cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), which has been proven to be highly effective in treating a range of psychological disorders. CBT is a structured and time-limited treatment that focuses on changing one's current thoughts and behaviours in order to improve mood and anxiety. I consider therapy to be a collaborative process between myself and the client.
I provide treatment for a number of mental health difficulties for adolescents and adults, including:
Depression
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Social Anxiety Disorder
Panic Disorder
Specific Phobias
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Perfectionism
Academic Anxiety and difficulties with study skills
Relationship Issues
Psycho-educational Assessment
Psycho-educational assessments involve examining ones cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning in order to best understand your learning profile and to determine whether any academic accommodations are warranted. Assessments involve an initial consultation, psychometric testing, a review of your educational history, scoring and report writing, and a feedback session.
Currently, I can complete assessments for post-secondary students through the Mobile Assessment Team, with referrals coming from your institution.
